Behavior: All dogs must be non-aggressive and non-food or toy protective. Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dogs. Please remember that your pet will be spending time with other pets and the safety and health of the pack is our main concern.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up: Owner must provide authorization to allow anyone else to pick up their dog. Drop-off & pick-up of your pet must occur during our open-to-the-public hours posted on our website. NO early drop-offs or late pick-ups are allowed. Dogs not picked up by 6:00pm will be boarded overnight, and overnight fees will apply.
Feeding: If you would like your dog to be fed during their stay, we request that you bring their regular food to avoid causing possible digestive issues (diarrhea, etc). We ask that your dog's food be divided into separate meals and be labeled with your Dog's name and any special feeding instructions (feeding time, adding water, elevating food, etc.). Also, we may provide our guests with small treats throughout the day - please let us know if you do not want your dog to have any treats.
Spay/Neuter: All dogs over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered in order to socialize with the other dogs in daycare. Puppies younger than 6 months may be intact.
Vaccination Policy: All canine guests must have up-to-date vaccinations in order to be a member of our pack. Owners must submit written proof of current DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus ), Bordetella (kennel cough) and Rabies vaccinations. You can either bring us a copy of your dog's vaccination records, or simply have your Vet call us directly at 541-912-1719. Puppies must be a minimum of 12 weeks of age in order to be admitted.
Health: All dogs must be clean and in good health, and must not have fleas (we strongly recommend that your dog receive some form of monthly topical flea treatment plan - please consult your veterinarian for more information about flea treatment options). Owners will certify that their dogs are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require a veterinary certificate of health to be admitted or re-admitted. Any dog with diarrhea will be removed from daycare and will not be able to socialize with the other dogs until this problem has been resolved. Dogs with excessive diarrhea may be required to have a negal fecal and/or giardia test before being re-admitted to daycare.
Emergencies: We have done our best to keep our daycare a safe environment for all our dogs, but in case of an emergency, we will contact you, your vet, and our emergency vet if necessary.
Injuries/Cuts/Scrapes/Concerns: In the event your pup experiences an injury such as a cut, scrape, nip, laceration or exhibits behavior of unusual discomfort - we will contact you, and provide a description, photographs, and a report of the conditions that lead to issue. We feel it's most appropriate for you as the owner of the dog, to make a decision as how you'd like to proceed with care.
Discomfort: We believe - that there's no place like home. For some dogs, they'll be so excited to play with us for the duration of it's stay. For others, it can be a bit stressful. A dog might not eat it's food, mope around, whine, shake, or not want to leave it's kennel/bed. This level of discomfort, does happen from time to time. And when it does happen - we do our best to give your pup extra attention, treats, or whatever makes it the most comfortable. Sometimes, it goes away after the first or second night, and other times it might persist for a day or two after you pick your pup up. Again, there's no place like home. But we'll do our best to make sure your dog has a great time!
Risks: Owners understand that supervised off-leash socialization and interaction between our guests is encouraged. Owners also acknowledge that dogs are unpredictable in behavior, and are aware of the risks involved in such play, and assume all risks.
Safety Issues: In order to maintain a safe play environment for the dogs, any dog that misbehaves will be given a time-out from the daycare area. Because excessive barking can escalate the intensity of the pack dynamic, we reserve the right to kennel your dog at any time.
Holidays: The daycare will be closed for holidays, we will be open for boarding only.
Legal Stuff: Our Policies, Procedures, Services and Rates may change from time to time. While we will attempt to notify you of these changes, it is ultimately your responsibility to check back on our website regularly so that you are aware of our most current Policies, Procedures, Services and Rates. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion.
Medication: We unable to administer medication to your dog.
Name tags & Collars: All dogs must be wearing a quick-release cloth collar with a name tag and must be on a leash upon entry. No metal, pinch, choke, beaded or studded collars will be allowed in the daycare area.
Passes & Reservations: Passes may be purchased with cash, check, or online through google checkout with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). Records will be kept in our computer system of how many days remain on your pass.
What to Bring: For daycare, please bring a leash, a quick-release collar, and any food or treats that you would like your pooch to be fed throughout the day. Please do not bring food or water dishes as we supply them.
Breed Restrictions: This has been a tough decision for us. We do believe that the majority of these types of dogs are really great, and their owners will swear by them! Unfortunately, the stigma around this breed does exist - and restricting them from our daycare, doesn't help the cause. However, in order to satisfy the concerns of many, we do not allow Pit Bulls / Pit Bull Mix breeds.
Show Dogs & Service Dogs: Being that we are a daycare style facility, our pups spend a lot of time playing with other dogs. The rewards of type of environment (Socializing, Playing, Running, Jumping, Exercising, etc..) are amazing. And although injuries/cuts/nips/lacerations are a rare occurrence, they do happen. The impact of such an occurrence is uncomfortable, and can be significantly more devastating to an owner if they rely on their pup for service, or participate in shows. For this reason, we do not recommend service dogs or show dogs from enrolling in our daycare environment.
Evening Inspections: For all of our boarding customers - sometimes a cut/scrape/puncture might go unnoticed by a staff member when it occurs during normal play such as pawing, jawing, or wrestling. So, in the evenings before bed - we will be inspecting your dogs ears, head, eyes, nose, mouth, heels & tails for any possible wounds. If we find anything of concern, we will take a picture, and send it to all employee's & you the owner, so we can all be aware of your dogs health & safety while in our care.
